Why visit The Royal Son Bou Family Club?

If you are regular readers of our blog (and if you are not, why not?!) you will know that we were guests of The Royal Son Bou Family Club in Menorca last year. Even though we were invited to stay as a review trip, we have to say, hand on heart, that it is the best holiday we have had. The hotel is simply incredible.

A lot of people, especially Brits are looking now to book their summer holidays. If you are looking for a family friendly hotel with every facility you can dream of, within a two hour flight of the UK then seriously, look no further.

We stayed with my Mummy, and big brother, who is 13 and big sister who was 15 then. We all LOVED it.

The main building has reception, a bar, lots of seating inside and outside and the entertainment area with stage and covered seating and tables. Just outside here is the main pool which is huge, with shallow and deep areas, loads of sun loungers and parasols. On the first floor are the Los Olivos Restaurant and MagikLand creche. The gym is downstairs, and also on the ground floor are a table tennis table and some games machines.

The facilities for children include:

Kiko Land – an amazing Kid’s Club with lovely friendly staff, undercover play areas, and organised activities and trips. There is the Baby Club for 0-2 year olds, where you can leave the littlest ones in very safe hands to play, explore, and have lots of fun whilst you relax by the pool, or take part in some of the activities for grown ups. Mini Club for 3-4 year olds, Maxi Club for 5-6 year olds, Kids Club for 7-9 year olds, Junior Club for 10-12 year olds and Teeny Club for 13-17 year olds.

Nightly family entertainment, including the Kiko Show for us littlies with singing, dancing and the Family Club mascots, then more entertainment with singers or a magician.

I enjoyed our days and evenings so much that I fell asleep before we could get back to our apartment a few times!

A children’s pool with a pirate ship at on end that has a slide into the pool. Very shallow and surrounded by astro turf for safety. La Basillica Restaurant overlooks this pool, and serves drinks and ice creams all day. Lunchtime toasties and hot dogs are available too, along with a full menu of lunchtime meals if you fancy it.

Next to Los Olivos Resaurant is MagikLand, where Mummy could leave me to play and have lots of fun whilst she had dinner. The lady took Mummy’s table number so she could take me to her if I really didn’t want to stay and play – which of course I did!

There are so many activities on offer, for all ages including football, horse riding and much more. We have a hundred more photos and good things we could say about this hotel, but this post would be ridiculously long! This is already the third post we have written about the place! Thank you to the fantastically amazing ladies who were so welcoming and super friendly and helpful, we truly hope we see them again.

  15. Would we have a holiday there – need you ask?? This kind of break is perfect for our family at the moment, as all the little ones want to do is jump around in the pool/playground, and all D and I want to do is relax. I’m glad you had such a good time – the pics make it look like a fantastic place for kids.
