Pickle says…I love nothing better than going away on holiday with my family, whether here or abroad. We were lucky enough to be invited to Cofton Holidays in Devon just before Christmas, and absolutely loved it! Here’s why…
The park is in a truly beautiful setting, surrounded by rolling hills and countryside. It almost looks like it is a pretty little village, with the site covering either side of a country lane with a church on the hill.
Our caravan was The Mardle, which was 6 berth. It was exceptionally clean and comfortable and super nice and warm. The caravan was well equipped with a microwave, dishwasher, central heating and double glazing. There was plenty of cutlery and crockery and a very welcoming tray of tea, coffee, milk and sugar as well as washing up liquid, plenty of dishwasher tabs, tea towel, cloth and scourer. The bathroom was lovely with a shower, basin and loo, and the master double bedroom had a handy ensuite with loo and small handbasin. Both bathrooms had bottles of Ecover hand wash. Thick, luxurious towels were also provided as well the most luxurious bedding (the beds were made up on arrival). There was a decked balcony area outside which would be lovely in the summer months. oUr only (minor) gripe is that the dining table only seats 4. We think this caravan is absolutely perfect for 4, but would be a bit of a squash for 6 unless there were very young children.
The complex was immaculate, all grounds well kept and maintained. The complex includes indoor and outdoor swimming pools, cafe, pub, restaurant, with wide selection of drinks, cakes, snacks and full meals on offer. You can also find a large soft play area, a soft play pit for little ones, and a big games room with pool tables and machines. There is a large function room downstairs with a bar and stage, but this was closed. It looked a great room for entertainment though. We loved the Christmas decorations including a mini forest with post box for Santa, and a fab reindeer display.
We ate in Amelia’s Cafe – the portions were generous and the food delicious. All the staff in every location were really friendly.
There is a super well stocked site shop with literally everything you could need including a small range of essential camping / touring accessories. As well as static caravans, there are tourer pitches, camping pitches and luxury apartments too.
Cofton Holidays is the perfect base for exploring locally – we visited Dawlish, Teignmouth, and Crealy Adventure Park.
Cofton Holidays is easy to find, following a good route along the M5, then the Devon Expressway. There is a large Sainsbury’s supermarket a five minute drive away towards Dawlish.
We highly recommend Cofton Holidays and cannot wait to return soon!
We were guests of Cofton Holidays for four nights in exchange for our honest review. All words, photos and video are ours 🙂

I really love Devon. I used to visit my grandparents in Devon as a child and have so many wonderful memories there. It looks like you had a wonderful time on holiday 🙂

We thought the apartment we stayed in with Cofton holidays was amazing. It’s so nice to see the inside of the caravan. The facilities like the indoor pool are great for a holiday park. We would definitely go back

The facilities alone are enticing enough to come to visit during the school holidays, the caravan is very sizeable and beds look very comfy

I have never been to Devon, although I’ve heard it is beautiful! This looks like such a lovely holiday park and I am a firm believer that caravan holidays are pretty epic!

I’ve only been to Devon once but I was absolutely blown away at how pretty it was. I can’t wait to go back sometime soon, I’ll have to check out these holiday homes for our next visit!

It looks like a great place to stay, and your caravan looks really nice! I’m impressed with all the little touches like the tea/coffee/dishwasher tabs but I do agree the table is a bit small considering it’s a 6 berth! (But it is a nice table!)
