Welcome to another Weekly Catch Up. We love sharing our week with you, and pick the best photos to show you too. It is so lovely to look back on what we have been up to. This is what we got up to in July. OUr Summer Part 1….
The 1st July was a beautiful day and we went for a day trip to St Davids with a lovely stop for coffee in Solva on the way. The 2nd was also a lovely day and we went to Stackpole for a walk.
After school on the Monday we called into a new coffee farm shop called Bubbleton. It is just lovely there. On Wednesday we went to the beach after school as it was such a lovely afternoon.
On Saturday 8th we went to Carmarthen and Lea got her ears pierced for the second time. She didn’t even cry!
Wednesday 12th was a lovely day and Mummy and Lea went to Milford Marina for lunch. Whilst I was working hard in school 😉
I had a friends party on Saturday 15th and we went to Heatherton – our local adventure park for an hour or two.
Mummy spent most days before we broke up for school trying to catch up on her blog work so that she could spend as much time with us as possible. The weather was very mixed. On the 16th it was my eldest sisters MiMi’s 21st birthday but she was in Thailand on a travelling holiday. MiMi graduated from Uni on 19th with a 2:1 in English Literature and Journalism. Clever MiMi!
On the 20th – I stayed at Nana’s with Luke as Mummy and Lea drove to Heathrow to meet MiMi and L off their flight home from Thailand. The flight was two and a half hours late! They had been travelling for hours and hours. Mummy drove straight home and was exhausted, but it was worth it.
On the 21st (Friday) it was very wet and quite chilly until very late afternoon when it became hot and sunny. It was mine and Luke’s last day in school. Yay! Mummy had a lie in then worked. MiMi and L came to pick me up, yay! We went for coffee at Manorbier with Nana and Grandad. MiMi opened her graduation presents and cards.
The 22nd was a rainy grey morning then it turned lovely and hot. We went to Bubbleton again – the lovely local farm coffee shop for coffee with MiMi and L. In the evening we went for a family meal to a local restaurant to celebrate MiMi’s birthday and graduation.
On the 23rd we had a Pizza and Prosseco party to celebrate Mimi’s birthday. It was sunny, hot and a really great day. The whole family came round and Lea’s new boyfriend, S met us all for the first time! Wasn’t he brave!
We had a couple of lovely hot days until the 26th when we travelled to Dorset to be nearer Camp Bestival ready for setting up camp on the 27th. There was a mess up with our room which was TRIPLE booked! We were eventually put up in a lovely B&B with a fantastic host.
27th to the 31st was Camp Bestival. On the Thursday it was damp and grey. We pitched ok and had a walk around.
Friday was miserable, there was rain then proper gale force winds. Mummy was terrified that our tent was going to collapse. Some others actually did. We survived and so did our tent – just.
On Saturday there was heavy rain. It was torrential in the night. It was also Luke’s 15th Birthday.
Despite the weather we had an AWESOME time. We saw Mr Tumble and Mister Maker and the others saw Mark Ronson and loads more. We had so much fun.
Sunday was dry and sunny but windy. It was super MUDDY! Mummy went round in bare feet as she gave the only wellies she had to MiMi!
We drove home on the Monday and can you believe it was lovely and dry, sunny and warm!
So that was the first part of our Summer – how was your July? (Doesn’t it feel sooooo long ago?)
