Easy Family Meals from Garden to Table

Pickle says…. It’s the summer yay! I love this time of year so much, sunshine (if we are lucky), playing outdoors and this is my last week of school! I am so looking forward to spending so much time with my family. It is a great time to eat well too, but Mummy doesn’t want to spend ages cooking so she is thinking up some easy family meals for us – especially as biggest sister MiMi and her boyfriend L are staying with us for a few days.

Easy Family Meals from Garden to Table

Mummy loves using fresh foods from the garden – although we haven’t grown anything ourselves, we have loads of fresh produce in farm shops nearby. Living in Pembrokeshire, there are lots of local producers and its great to support them too.

Here are our top 5 easy family meals from garden to table that we would love to try:

  1. Potato and Spinach Frittata
  2. Kids Pasta Salad
  3. Gluten Free mini strawberry frangipanes
  4. Easy Strawberry Ice Cream
  5. Tomato Soup

We have teamed up with  to bring you our favourite Garden to Table recipes using fresh produce such as carrots, potatoes, strawberries and that are very easy and quick to put together.

If you don’t grow your own fruit and veg, why not find your nearest Pick Your Own place and make a day of picking your own produce to use to try our delicious recipes? Last year we went strawberry picking and it was so much fun! (Yes, I am in my pants, I was waaaaaay to hot and had to take my shorts off!)

  6. My Grandad used to grow everything, and it makes me feel so guilty that we don’t even try. Food made from fresh garden produce always tastes so much better

  10. Potato and spinach frittata sounds so good! I haven’t grow any veg this year but we had masses of raspberries and loads of apples on the tree. I’ve also been using our fresh herbs, nothing nicer than food straight from the garden I think.
