Leapfrog announced last month the launch of a brand new product, the LeapStart Interactive Learning System, especially designed to get us little ones ready for our first years at school. Being part of their Blogger Panel, I was lucky enough to be sent one to review.

LeapStart Interactive Learning System

The new interactive system brings learning to life, teaching me key educational and life skills to provide me with the tools I need to prepare for tomorrow.

The LeapStart Interactive Learning System works with a library of 16 activity books over four learning levels (each sold separately) which grows with your child, teaching 50+ key skills from space science and basic coding to educational problem solving.

The LeapStart Preschool system (this is the one I received) is for children ages 2-4 and comes with an brilliant, specially designed stylus for my little hands. The LeapStart Primary School system for children ages 5-7 has a sturdy, kid-tough design and a stylus that is like an actual pen, to help them practise their pen control. I can tap any page with the stylus to set off sounds and play activities which keep me super interested. Each book is packed with over 30 activities such as tracing letters, hunting for numbers, exploring the world and much more, so I am learning whilst having lots of fun.

There are four learning books at four learning levels, together teaching over 50 key skills including the alphabet, numbers, space science, basic coding and educational problem solving.

The LeapStart library of books will help me to grow and develop by teaching me core skills together with life skills, to help me prepare for the future. All the books are compatible with both devices.

The four learning levels are: Nursery, Preschool, Reception, and Year One.

Each system comes with a sampler book: Nursery and Preschool designed for the younger platform, and Reception and Year One designed for the older platform.

Pickles WooHoo Points

I love the design – it is sturdy, perfect size for my Pickle size hands. I love the chunky stylus.

The activities in the book respond really well to the stylus – I can easily do it by myself.

I  can play on my own, for a good 15 – 20 minutes with it.

It is a brilliant price at only £34.99 (RRP)

I would have liked a complete book with the system to start with, I loved it so much, I wanted to do more!

LeapStart system (RRP £34.99) as well as the 16 LeapStart Activity books (RRP £9.99 each, ages 2-7) are available now.

I would definitely recommend the system, it is everything we love about Leap Frog – sturdy, chunky, great quality and so interactive, keeping me busy for ages!

  3. that price is good, I was expecting it to be more expensive, but then if the book you get isn’t complete and you still need to purchase another it would soon add up.

  4. That sounds great; children can vary so much in how they learn best, and this seems like a wonderful addition to the available range of options. Thanks for the review!
