Keep Safe in the Sun

It is super important to keep safe in the sun, and I was very lucky a few weeks ago to be sent a range of fantastic clothing to help me do this whilst on holiday in France. Unfortunately the weather was awful and we didn’t see the sun, but I want to share some top tips with you, and show you my lovely clothing.

Keep Safe in the Sun

JoJo Maman Bebe are a fab company that have the most gorgeous clothing, maternity clothing, nursery products, gifts and toys. I was sent a selection of clothing and some suncream to keep safe in the sun.

It is so important for everyone to be protected in the sun, and it can be tricky to keep little ones like me safe, covered up and protected whilst still letting me play, swim and enjoy the sunshine.

That is why clothing with built in sun protection is such a great idea. I was sent this lovely two piece protection suit that has UPF 50+ built in to keep me protected. It is lightweight, easy to pop on and off, the two piece makes it easy for Mummy to nip me to the loo without having to strip me off. It dries quickly and gives Mummy great piece of mind.

My hat is fab too and again had built in UPF 50+ – this style covers all of my head and gives me shade on my face and neck too. Perfect for me as I am a little bit older now. It is lightweight and machine washable too.

To complete my summer look, I had a pair of gorgeous no-nappy bermuda shorts which are just like my big bro wears. I love the pattern – which matches my hat, and they are so comfy too.

For the bits of me that aren’t covered by my protective clothing, JoJo Maman Bebe also sent me a bottle of Swiss made Ultrasun Factor 30 family sun cream. This is so light and easy to put on, with an airless pump dispenser, it is suitable for sensitive skin too and is water resistant.

Top Tops to keep safe in the sun with JoJo Maman Bebe:

*Little ones are less able to regulate their own body heat, risking overheating and dehydration so they must drink plenty of water.

*Stay out of the sun between 11am and 3pm when it is at its hottest.

*Don’t be fooled by cloud, UV rays can still get through to you.

*Apply suncream 15-30 minutes before going out.

*Keep your little ones head, face and body covered up.

*Keep babies under six months old out of the sun completely.

We are off to our first festival later this month, and going to Menorca in September so hopefully I will need all my sun protection goodies then!

  10. I love these coverall clothing sets for kids, my lot moan if I put sun cream on them so they much prefer to weather protective clothing and only have their extremities creamed. This reminds me I need to get more for this Summer!
