Camp Bestival is great for all ages

It is one month until we go to our first festival – Camp Bestival. It is on 28-31 July at Lulworth Castle, Dorset. We are all getting so excited, even more so now seeing what is on offer, and how Camp Bestival is great for all ages.

For me, as well as Mr Tumble, for the first time, Small and Tiny Clanger will be there too! I LOVE the Clangers and am very excited to be seeing them!

I know I will enjoy the Clangers Space Show which will be performed every day. Small and Tiny Clanger may need my help finding things, singing and dancing, but I must watch out for low flying meteorites!

As well as the Clangers being out and about for meet ‘n’ greets at the festival, giant inflatable Small and Tiny Clanger will be outside Mission Control all weekend, ready and waiting for our photos!

As well as Mr Tumble, The Clangers and so much more for little ones like me, there is something rather awesome for my teen bro and sis too.

Camp Bestival is great for all ages

The Den, one of Camp Bestival’s most exclusive areas, is back again by popular demand for the third year. Dedicated to 13-17 year-olds, (perfect for bro who will be 14 and sis who is 16) The Den is a secret festival within a festival, featuring live music, DJs, workshops, talks and activities. And the best part is no adults are allowed!

Rob da Bank says: “The Den is one of the best bits of Camp Bestival and I would spend all my time there but I’m not allowed in… From ace music and DJs like Kiko Bun, Dawson and Katy Wilson to all the amazing things you can have a go at like looping masterclasses, Lizzie King Tie Dye Mayhem and my music club, it’s the ultimate teenage escape!”

Lea. my big sis is going to just love this, as she is starting a Music Technology course at college in September and wants to experience as much music, and different types of music as she can.

The Den highlights include:

Live reggae music from iTunes Chart topper Kiko Bun.

Loop pedal masterclass from Dawson.

DIY festival fashion and craft workshops.

Creative Writing Masterclass from teen fiction author Holly Smale.

Inspo Corner with Britain’s youngest head chef, Luke Thomas.

New music from singer-songwriter siblings Max & Harvey Mills.

The chance to record your own tracks at the Songshack.

Rob da Bank’s Music Club returns to The Den once again this year, with a series of in depth masterclasses and workshops including hip-hop philosophy, singing lessons, MC workshops, guitar lessons and the chance to make your own music video. As the man himself, Rob da Bank says: “My Music Club is the place to be at Camp Bestival if you’re between 13 and 17 years old and want to get into music, or just hang out and be inspired – it’s that simple. Be there!”

Oh my goodness – how much is Lea going to love this?

As if this isn’t enough, take a look at what else we can expect at Camp Bestival, the UK’s favourite family festival:
