Travel With Kids #2

Hello and welcome back  to #travelwithkids, a brand new linky brought to you by the lovely Jen at Smiles & Trials and myself. This linky is for anyone who enjoys family-friendly travelling from days out to road trips to city breaks.
We are very excited to find out about new places to visit all over the UK and beyond and aim to create a rich archive full of interesting finds. To join in, simply link up a post using the Inlinkz tool at the foot of this post; it doesn’t have to be a new post, it just has to fit the #travelwithkids theme.
It would be lovely if you used our #travelwithkids badge, which can be found below, but this is not essential. The linky will go live every Wednesday at midnight and run until 8pm on Sundays. We will leave comments on all posts as well as sharing on Twitter. Enjoy!

Last June we stayed at the Cardiff Atlantic Wharf Travelodge, before flying to Menorca the next day. We had two rooms, a family and a twin.

The rooms had been completely refurbished, and were fab! We were very impressed, they were so much better than the last Travelodge we stayed in, a few years ago.
The beds were so comfortable, much better than Mummy remembers them. The rooms were lovely and clean, and there was plenty of room in each one.

The restaurant was very modern and clean, we had breakfast there, you have a choice of hot and cold foods, and juices, tea and different coffees (making Mummy’s day!)
There were 24 hour snacks available too.
This Travelodge is in an excellent spot for Cardiff Bay and the Millennium Centre.

We would stay again, and highly recommend this Travelodge.

Towels are provided and a travel cot with bedding is provided in the family room.

We will stay in Travelodges a lot more as many have been refurbished, they offer such good value for money.

We love Cardiff because of…

The amazing shopping centres, and cute shopping arcades.

The fantastic Millenium Stadium which not only hosts the rugby but many concerts and shows. Mummy has seen Rihanna there.

The Motorpoint Arena, a smaller venue with some brilliant concerts – Mummy has seen Katy Perry, One Direction and JLS there.

Cardiff Bay – lovely restaurants and the Millenium Centre – Mummy is seeing The BodyGuard there in June.

Cardiff Central train station takes you right into Cardiff. So close to everything.

Have you ever been to Cardiff?

  3. I’ve never stayed in Cardiff but it’s great to have a hotel recommendation for when I do, as I am sure we will want to go to the Millennium Centre one day.
