I am 2 on 12 October, and I am so excited! Mummy wrote to me all through her pregnancy, and here are two of the last three letters that she wrote before I arrived!

Mummy Says….

‘Another month flown by!’

You are due to arrive next weekend! I can’t believe it!I have savoured and cherished every moment, every second of carrying you. It is going so quickly. Every day of feeling you move is wonderful. I have never felt so content, so happy, comfortable and at peace.

It’s odd because I can’t wait to meet you, but I’ll miss my bump’ cont…….Weds 3 October…..

Wednesday 3 October

9 Days 9 till 12 October!

Single figures, I can’t believe it!

We’ve got your moses basket ready – hospital bag all packed. I feel very calm and ready – I’m just really enjoying every day. I finish work this Friday (5th) then I can finally relax and wait for you! Feeling very big – but I am all ‘bump’ – no real weight gain anywhere else. I notice that you have dropped these last few days – the top of my bump is like a shelf! Heartburn returned terribly over the last few weeks, but it has eased a bit this week.

Your head bears down and presses on my bladder – it feels stingy / burning ‘down below’ – then you seem to ‘pop up’ and are very wriggly! I can’t walk far and I can’t drive far. Evenings, I can’t sit in one position for long and by mid afternoon I am exhausted.

College had a baby shower last Tuesday (25 Sept) for me, a buffet lunch and a collection. I had my last day with them yesterday. New wardrobes arriving this Friday – yay! – loads more storage!

Can’t wait to meet you xxxx

  1. Awww, I wrote to my babies when I was pregnant too. It’s lovely to look back at them all and remember how I was feeling. I hope they will enjoy reading them when they are older. x

  2. It must have been such a strange feeling knowing you’d miss your bump! Bet having Ickle Pickle is much more fun though!

  4. Oh what lovely letters and a great thing to do for your beautiful baby to read when they are older. I only wrote one just before I gave birth to both and then each year on their birthday. I think it’s such a great way for them to feel and be a part of a time in their life when they don’t remember. Thanks for linking up to Share With Me #sharewithme
