Photo a Day December 2016

We have changed how we record our days – we have kept a daily diary in the form of Project 365 and then Photo a Day for over two and a half years up till October! It is lovely to look back on, but a lot of work to keep up with. We didn’t post our August diary until 6 November!

With many week days being very similar, we have decided to only note milestones, events and any thing really interesting! Our Instagram has become our daily diary, and we post daily there – sometimes twice a day.

Thursday 1 – 4 December

Cold, bright, beautiful days. I was off on the Thursday, still poorly (I have had a nasty cold and horrible cough). I went in on Friday 2 Dec to finish my lantern and we went on our first lantern trail that night. It was lovely, but i was still poorly really. The village had all the Christmas lights up – so pretty.

I went to our nearest proper department store, Vincent Davies again with Daddy, Mummy and Luke. We had lunch at Wetherspoons. We went again on Sunday – with Lea instead of Daddy this time! It is such a Christmassy shop, we love it there! We met my cousin M and T his girlfriend in McDonalds first.

Monday 5 – 11 December. On Monday I had my Nativity for the rest of the school. I didn’t really tell Mummy much about it! We went to the opening of the Village Panto – Peter Pan at night. It was awesome.

On Tuesday I had my Nativity for the mums and dads. It was a  grey, milder, damp day. Daddy queued at 8.15am and there were still a dozen people in front of him! The Nativity was amazing – said Mummy.

7 December was a bit brighter but damp and mild.

9 December – Luke off poorly with a sore throat. I had a day off school, as the older ones were going to see a pantomine in a nearby town. Lea off college, as she is every week, so we had a lazy day at home – but met Nana and Grandad for lunch to celebrate Lea’s birthday tomorrow as we won’t see them at all at the weekend. A wet, grey day. Warmer but where is the sunshine?

Mummy is suffering from a nasty eye virus and is back and for to the opticians.

On Saturday – 10 December, Lea had her 17th Birthday. We went to Swansea and had a wonderful meal to celebrate. We had torrential rain so headed to Primark but no Winter Wonderland.

On the Sunday, Lea went to Carmarthen with a friend to see a film. I had my friend J’s birthday party in his village hall, then we met Daddy in our village for a nice coffee. It was a very bright sunny day.

Monday 12 – 16 December.

MeeMee came home late Wednesday night and we all went for a meal on Thursday night to celebrate Lea’s birthday with MeeMee – Nana, Grandad, cousin M and T came too.

School finished on Friday 16th – yay!

The week before Christmas….

18th – Mummy, Lea and I went to Dinefwr Park near Llandeilo with Nan and Grandad. We had a wonderful day. So festive and away from all the madness.

20th – I was a Poorly Pickle – I was hot with a temperature, and a nasty cough all night. No bingo as I was too poorly.

On 22/23 We went to Cardiff on the train. I love going on the train. The weather was pretty awful but we had a great time. Lea and Luke went to see The 1975, a band they love.

We had an awesome Christmas Eve, Day and Boxing Day – you can read all about it in our Christmas Post.

On the 27th We went to  Carmarthen to the sales. It was freezing cold but dry. We had lunch in Wetherspoons.

The 29th was sunny but cold. We had a very busy day with the Doctors with both sisters, an eye check up for Mummy (her eyes all healed, yay!).

30th was a grey damp day and MeeMee’s last day. We had a family lunch in the village before she went.

New Years Eve – We went to Carmarthen for MeeMee to catch her train. Lea went to her friends and into Tudor Square, Tenby to see the fireworks. Mummy, Luke and I went to my Aunty’s for a family party and we stayed the night. It was fun. Mummy saw the New Year in upstairs with me, I was just falling asleep until fireworks outside woke me up!

We hope you had a wonderful December, Christmas and New Years Eve!
