Thomas’ Big Pop-Up Journey

I am a huge fan of Thomas and Friends and was very excited to be sent the fantastic Thomas’ Big Pop-Up Journey pop up book. It features Thomas and some of my favourite friends, but it is a bit different…..

Thomas' Big Pop-Up Journey

I love Thomas’ Big Pop-Up Journey it is an awesome book which opens up into a big play mat with familiar 3D places around Sodor, and 3D figures of Thomas and Friends.

Thomas' Big Pop-Up Journey

Thomas’ Big Pop-Up Journey starts as a book in a box, as I turn the ‘pages’ a scene from Sodor pops up. Mummy reads the story to me. I can then open up the book into a big play mat and play with the Thomas and Friends card figures.

I have played with this for hours and hours.

Mummy says ‘ Pickle loves Thomas and Friends – has done for as long as I can remember, and absolutely loves the Thomas’ Big Pop-Up Journey. If I am honest, I didn’t know what to expect, and thought there may have been small actual trains etc as the play figures, instead of cardboard 3D ones. I wasn’t sure hoe Pickle would react either. I needn’t have worried – he loved it! ‘Can I play with it now?!’ he cried out! Once we had read the story and set the mat up, he kept saying to me ‘Oh I love this Mummy, I love it!’

He has played with it for hours, and I love that it folds small enough into its own box for us to take with us to Nana’s house. As you can see in the photo, Pickle opened the bottom of the figures so they easily stand up.

It is super quality, and at around £14 from Amazon it is worth every penny. The Thomas’ Big Pop-Up Journey is a must for any Thomas and Friends fan, and would make an excellent, much loved stocking filler for Christmas.

The best news of all is that we have one of the Thomas’ Big Pop-Up Journey books to giveaway to one lucky reader!

Just answer the question – ‘Who is your favourite Thomas and Friends character?

The competition ends on 11 November 2016 at midnight.

  1. Oh this looks fab! My youngest is just getting into Thomas and yet he still isn’t old enough to understand not to tear his books to bits! His big sisters are very frustrated with him ripping pages out of their books, so I’m going to wait a while before I buy him any more of his own!!
