Moments to Treasure

Mummy has always had a thing about babies feet. She absolutely loves them. She couldn’t wait to see mine when I was born, she was the same with my brother and sisters. Its funny, because she doesn’t like grown up feet, I mean, they are her least favourite bits! But when it comes to baby feet, she melts. She has taken photos of my feet, pressed my feet into clay, all to remind her of how tiny my feet were.
Today, mummy and I were looking at the Count the Kicks Facebook page, and all the beautiful babies, some here on earth, and some angel babies who are up in heaven. We felt very happy, and very sad all at the same time. They are hosting #feetselfie where you can upload a photo of your feet and / or your baby’s feet and donate to the charity. This has inspired this collage…..
I am so lucky to be here, and to have my brother and my sisters. We are all very lucky together. Mummy calls me her little star, and I am so glad that I am shining here on earth. God bless all the little star babies in the sky xxx
Mummy says…..
‘I was so relieved when Ickle Pickle arrived safely. I prayed all through my pregnancy, being older (I was 41 when he was born), I was aware of higher risks, but I stayed positive, refusing to think of anything but him arriving healthy and perfect in every way. I had a miscarriage before I had any of my four children, it was very early, but I was devastated, my heart was broken. I fell pregnant within six months thank goodness, but I was worried sick all the way through and couldn’t fully relax, I felt I had been robbed of that joy. I literally thank everything I possibly can, every single day, for the absolute blessings and gifts of my children, I am one very lucky mummy indeed.
My heart truly goes out to every mummy who has lost a baby, those little stars were too bright to shine on earth xxx’

Every moment we spend together is both magic, and ordinary. And we count each and every one.
We would also like to mention the amazing Jennie Edspire who has made mummy really aware of every precious moment with me, and Jennie’s beautiful angel baby Matilda Mae xxx

  1. What a lovely post and such an important cause. We should definitely count each moment as a complete blessing. That is one of the whole reasons I blog. x

  3. I love little baby feet. Next best thing to fat little baby wrists, in my opinion.

Sorry to hear about your miscarriage years ago. Once you’ve lost a pregnancy, you kind of lose your innocence about being pregnant forever.

  4. Ahh bless, your post just made me weep. I am with you and Jenny too and her story is so heartfelt all over the world. Thank you ever so much for linking up to Share With Me. #sharewithme
