Pickle says….’We had a wonderful day recently where we were guests on board the fabulous cruise ship MSC Preziosa. Mummy and the others have cruised before but I have never been on a cruise ship. Oh. My. Goodness. I absolutely LOVED it. I want to tell you exactly what you can expect in a day on board MSC Preziosa.
I have been dreaming about this ship since I went on it and thought it would be cool to share with you what I would do, if I was lucky enough to ever have a holiday on board an MSC cruise ship.
First of all, walking through the awesome atrium as we board, and seeing the sparkly Szwarofski Crystal staircase makes our tummies flip with excitement – we have never seen anything so beautiful. There are 15,000 crystals in each step!
Taking the lift to our floor we notice again the gorgeous scent that fills the ship – it has been specially created and we even have a scented candle to remind us of this very special ship.
I would wake up nice and early in my very comfy bed, in our Super Family cabin which sleeps up to 6 people. This is just fantastic as we only know of one other cruise line who offers cabins for up to 6. It is actually two connecting 3 berth cabins with two bathrooms – absolute heaven for the teens! I am very excited to see if we are at sea or in a beautiful port somewhere.
I would be ready for breakfast in a flash and we would make our way to the buffet.
We are at sea today – yay! That means we can relax and enjoy the ship. But where to start?
The teens want to go for a swim first, so we all head to the pool. It is a beautiful sunny day so we go to the outdoor one, although the indoor pool has the roof open today for the sunshine.
As we are at sea, we decide to have a relaxed lunch in the Maya or Inca Buffet Restaurant – look at how much there is to choose from!
This afternoon I want to go to the kids club to play some games and the teens may go to the 4K cinema. I hope it is Lego Experience Day, where MSC partner with Lego to give a day of Lego based activities. The teens may have a game on the Play Station or have a dance off. There are kids clubs with a huge range of activities for ages 3 – 17 and a Baby Club for under 3 year olds. One night I am going to join in with Kids Around The Clock where I will be looked after, entertained then gently guided to wind down before bed so Mummy can either pop to the casino if she is feeling lucky, or enjoy an evening with the teens.
Mummy can have a bit of me time and has booked a spa treatment – Mummy deserves a treat!
She is also going to enjoy a coffee at La Cappuccino coffee bar and when we all meet up we are going to have an ice cream in Eataly.
Tonight after dinner we are going to The Platinum Theatre to watch the entertainment, before heading back to our cabin for a good nights sleep, ready for tomorrow.
Later in the week Mummy may take teen sister to the Green Sax Jazz bar, we will all visit The Safari Lounge and try some fresh baked pizza in La Locanda.
We will wake up in a port tomorrow and after another wonderful breakfast we are heading off to explore.
You can get a real taste of how luxurious and beautiful the MSC Preziosa is from watching our video. Mummy took so many photos and some video and they are all in our vlog for you to see:
All the MSC ships have the same level of quality and themes, making them the most incredible ships to holiday on.
Mummy says that other cruise ships she has been on seem to offer children’s facilities as a bit of an after thought, but MSC have truly thought about children and families and offer everything we could possibly want.
Next year MSC has the MSC Magnifica cruise ship sailing from Southampton from April through to September in 2018 with cruises to the Norwegian Fjords, the Baltic Capitals, Great Britain and Scotland. MSC have introduced all inclusive drinks packages as well as free WiFi.
Full information on MSC, the ships, cruises and prices are on the website.
