We are so lucky to live in such a beautiful part of the world in West Wales. We just love exploring our county, and as we welcome thousands of visitors every year, we thought we would share with you 5 Family Friendly Winter Days Out in Pembrokeshire. A lot of attractions close in the winter, but there is still so much to see and do.
So, it is cold and quite probably raining, so where can you go on a Winter’s day to have a great family day out?
These are our top 5 Family Friendly Winter Days Out in Pembrokeshire:
1.Folly Farm. Just the best day out for families. More than just a farm – you can see the only giraffes and lions in Wales, as well as so many other animals. There is a huge indoor play area for all ages and an indoor vintage fair with awesome rides for all ages. So much to do and see.
2. Pembroke Castle. An incredibly well preserved castle with rooms and corridors to explore, towers to climb and a huge space to just run around and play in. There are lots of events through the year and a great cafe.
3. Blue Lagoon Water Park, Nr Narberth. Part of Bluestone Wales, but you can visit and use the pool and facilities as a visitor too. Perfect for a rainy morning or afternoon, you can spend three hours inside.
4. Heatherton World of Activities, St Florence, Nr Tenby. There is something for all ages – from an indoor soft play area to go carts and pistol shooting. There is a lovely cafe serving good value meals and drinks. You pay only for what you play with credits. There is no entrance charge.
5. A visit to the cinema. We have three in Pembrokeshire, The Palace in Haverfordwest, The Torch Theatre in Milford Haven and Theatr Gwaun in Fishguard. Despite still coming up in online searches, there is no cinema in Tenby. It was pulled down years ago and never replaced.
Have you been you Pembrokeshire? If so where do you love? If not, why not ;)?

I think the one I’d want to visit the most is the castle. I’ve never been to one but have often dreamed about it!

We as a family love Wales ♥️ we normally head for North Wales as we only get to have a few days away so we tend not to go too far but looking to have more days away cone the summer holidays. I like look of Pembrokeshire, the castle and Blue Lagoon Water Park sounds really appealing!
