Heading into Autumn

We have had an awesome summer – so many adventures and we have travelled and visited so much of the UK that we haven’t been to before, it has been amazing. Now as we are heading into Autumn we are starting to think about school, the weather turning a little cooler and all the great things we love about our favourite time of the year.

Heading into Autumn

Back to school for me means new shoes, new uniform, a new bag or rucksack and for the first time a snack box, as I move to morning nursery school and will be having snack time for the first time! I will also need a new coat as it gets colder too. House of Fraser have a great range for all ages.

For Luke, who is going into year 10 as well as new uniform and shoes it means new stationery and art supplies as he is now studying GCSE Art and, for the first time, Graphic Design. He is also allowed out of school into the town at lunch time so he too will need a cool coat for when it rains!

Lea starts college – oh she is so excited and we are so proud of her. She is looking at some new skinny jeans and dying her hair pink again. Oh and getting her nose pierced too. She is growing up so fast!

Heading into Autumn

Biggest sister MeeMee starts her third and final year of Uni, we are super proud of how well she is doing, although we miss her loads. We will visit her again soon hopefully. She has moved into a new house – her third move since starting Uni.

Mummy will have a little more time to work on the blog, and is looking forward to putting some ideas she has into action too.

Other things we look forward to are the crisp sunny mornings (although we usually have more wet grey ones!), walks on the beach once all the hoards of tourists have gone home, and the gentle countdown to Halloween and Bonfire night. Oh, and we have a wonderful holiday to our favourite island of Menorca to look forward to as well.

What are you looking forward to as we are heading into Autumn?

  1. I feel like autumn is like spring in that it signals a new, fresh start! Going back to school and uni definitely is a big change after months of summer, but I love autumn because it allows me to start over anew 🙂

  2. I can just about tolerate Autumn but I despise Winter – I can’t stand the cold and suffer with SAD ontop of dealing with my already existing mental health problems!

This year though, Mini Me 1 starts Reception and Gymnastics so it’s going to be very quiet in the house. Mini Me 2 will be learning to socialise without his big sister. I will have more time to blog and get on top of the housework!
