Did you know that Mummy is a qualified Holistic Therapist, and ran her own successful business before I was born? She is still really interested in all sorts of holistic home therapies, and believes that many can really benefit our health.
Holistic home therapies are such a great idea, you can experience them in the comfort of your own home, save money, and use them whenever you want to fit in with your needs. So many people suffer with common ailments such as anxiety, depression, stress or back pain, muscle aches, strains and many more. Traditional therapies such as massage or acupuncture can really help, but it can be costly to visit a qualified therapist.
My nan has been suffering with chronic back pain for about eighteen months following a fall, and at times severe sciatica too.
Mummy has been looking on line for ways to help Nan with holistic home therapies, and is super impressed with what Premier Bathrooms can offer – as well as many walk in bath and shower products, complete bathroom or wet room solutions, they also offer baths with chromotherapy, resonance sound therapy and hydrovescent spa massage. Can you believe that all these are offered in different baths? What a perfect, brilliant way to use these therapies at home.
Chromotherapy uses colour to balance the chakras – seven major energy centres in the biomegnetic field that surround our bodies. Gently balancing the chakras helps with many emotional, mental and physical problems. The system offers up to seven light settings working with different colour waves.
Resonance Sound Therapy is attached to the bath shell and uses it to project sound from your wireless music device. You can play soothing, relaxing music to relax your muscles and mind, to calm you and help you unwind.
The hydrovescent spa massage is a stimulating spa system to relax the body, relieve aches and pains and help ease migraines and stress. It harnesses the power or water together with gentle pulsating air massage jets, so you will feel relaxed and destressed.
Using any one of these together with candles and essential oils in a burner will help improve Nan’s all round well being, as well as lifting her mood and easing her aches and pains.
You can use some of these in your home to help you relax and improve your well being too:
*Use soft lighting or candles, turning off harsh bright lights.
*Use different essential oils in a burner (never leave a candle unattended) try lemon or peppermint to invigorate and uplift, geranium and bergamot to balance your hormones, or lavender and chamomile to relax.
*Turn off phones, unplug the TV, play some relaxing music and allow yourself to let go….
Don’t they sound amazing? We would love for Nan to try any (or all!) of these holistic home therapies to help her relax.

I think having a bath with all those features would be good for a lot of people. For now I am just using candles and sometimes essential oils

Sorry to hear Nanny has chronic back pain, I have it too but due to bone cancer I had in lower spine and a benign tumour too I had in the same place at 18 which I had lots of surgery for.
I love massage and acupuncture as it really helps me relax and feel good for that short period I’m having it done.
By the way you may be able to get your Nanny referred to a NHS hospital that specialises in integrated medicine (homoeopathy) I go to one in London but waiting lists to go to one can sometimes be long but really worth it plus they can offer homeopathic medicine too.
Those things for the bath look amazing!! I’d love a spa message in the bath but unfortunately have to have a walk in shower due to illness and disabilities.
I hope Nanny (your mum) improves and hopefully feels better soon. x
