Weather Themed Crafts

As a #BostikBlogger we get very excited when our box of craft goodies arrives every month. This month it is all about the weather, and Mummy and I decided to make a fun chart and picture for our weather themed crafts.

We were sent a whole load of goodies and this is what we made:

What’s The Weather Doing Chart

You will need:

A paper plate

An arrow shape, which you stick in the middle of the plate.

Blu-Tack (you could use a split pin instead) We used Blu Tack as I am only 3.

Pictures or drawings or foam cut outs of different weather items for example –

Grey clouds

Sun

Lightening flash.

I wanted to use some small sparkly gems for rain and small snowflake shapes for snow.

We wanted to add something for windy, but didn’t know what to use. I asked Mummy if we could use a big red button! Mummy couldn’t see why not, so we did!

I glued and stuck the shapes onto the plate, with the little arrow shape in the centre.

I really enjoyed putting our chart together, it gave Mummy and I chance to talk about all sorts of things. We talked about the weather (obviously) and what it was like today, I told Mummy the colours of our weather shapes, and I counted the sparkly gems and snowflakes. I pointed the arrow to the sun, because today was a beautiful sunny day.

I asked Mummy if I could make a weather picture, and I stuck all sorts of lovely things on a piece of gorgeous blue sparkly card, which I thought looked like the sky. I stuck on more weather shapes, and this time used some big fluffy blue balls for rain, and fluffy white string for snow. I stuck a lightening flash on my nose! I loved the different textures of my picture – smooth, rough and soft and fluffy. I loved it so much that I drew smiley faces on the sun, cloud and snowflake.

Our crafts are simple, but do you know what? Mummy and I have a little time together talking, and I get to glue and stick and feel different things, whilst learning a little too. And we laugh a lot. That’s what being 3 and crafting should be like, right?

Do you like our weather themed crafts?
