Week 40 of Project 365. Our fantastic holiday to Menorca, one of our most favourite places in the world. This week we are covering Thursday 24 September to Wednesday 30 September, when we flew home.

Thursday 24 September – Our first full day of our holiday. We spent it exploring our hotel The Royal Son Bou Family Club, we are staying in Son Bou. Glorious sunny day. I discovered the fantastic ice cream that is part of the all inclusive package, meaning I could have as much as I wanted!

Friday – Really sunny hot day! We went onto the beach at Son Bou – it is the longest on the island. There is a cute beach hut restaurant which we visited last year, and we sat there again looking out over the sea – pinching ourselves as we could not believe we were back here 🙂 Back at the hotel I had a great time filling my little bucket in the pool.

Saturday – We caught the public bus to Mahon, the capital of Menorca. It is a beautiful city, an we know it very well now. The main shops close between 2 – 5pm, so we had lunch during this time and caught the 3.30pm bus back. More pool time – it was 26° today!

Sunday – We enjoyed chillin by the pool in the warm sunshine. Tonight there was the Super Moon and a lunar eclipse. We didn’t stay awake for the eclipse but the moon was simply huge and stunning, especially over the main pool ad palm trees.

Monday – Similar day to yesterday and tomorrow, we have breakfast at 9-.30am then pick our spot by the pool. Today we went by the main pool at the shallow end, up until now we spent time at the children’s pool. I play in the water with Lea and Luke till lunch at 12.30-1pm where we go to Les Olivos. We then head back to the pool area, before Mummy taes me back to the room to have a nap. I did yesterday but not today! So I fell asleep on Mummy’s knee which I haven’t done since I was very small! We have dinner at 6.30pm then get our seat ready for the mini disco. Mummy discovered Pina Colada’s and Lea and Luke loved the Hooky non-alcoholic cocktails. I just ate my own bodyweight in ice cream and ice lollies 😉

Tuesday – We are just loving having lazy days in the warm sunshine together. We are so busy at home that this is heaven for us, so today was a day much the same as yesterday. Our last day here 🙁

Wednesday – Bye Bye to this amazing hotel. We woke to a large thunder storm with torrential rain and lightening, and the hotel tweeted that Menorca was crying because we were leaving! This brought a tear to Mummy’s eye too. The bus picked us up at 10.30 and our flight was 1.40pm.

We landed after quite a bumpy flight and met up with MeeMee and Lewis – with Nana and Grandad too! They were in Bristol in their touring caravan! We had a meal together, then Mummy drove home.

I slept all the way home, we got back at 10.30pm.

Look out for our posts coming up sharing in detail how amazing the hotel was.
