Bye Bye Summer of 2015. It was great knowing you – even if you were a bit wet and grumpy most of the time!
We have had the best time, despite the soggy weather, and looking back we have crammed so much into six weeks.
We had another great day out at Folly Farm and Zoo.
Our first holiday was a camping trip to a fantastic campsite where we also had two brilliant days out at Conkers and Thomas Land at Drayton Manor. We loved meeting Zena from Zena’s Suitcase (She is Mummy’s blogging bestie and they have met before, as you know).
We had a lovely meal together for Grandad’s birthday.
We had another brilliant break at Bluestone Wales – actually enjoying a little sunshine too!
We managed a couple of trips to the beach (no where near as many as we would have liked).
Mummy had a whirlwind day out with Zena to Southampton going on board The Royal Princess cruise ship.
We took MeeMee and all her stuff to move into her new house in Bristol that she is sharing with nine – yes nine other students! We also managed a quick visit to Ikea.
We had a brilliant mini break in beautiful Bath – picking up MeeMee on the way to join us.We actually had lovely weather!
We visited our local theme park Oakwood, I loved Never Land and seeing Thomas and The Fat Controller.
We went together to see Inside Out at the cinema – my second time – and I loved it.
So, what have I been up to?
I had my first ‘go’ at adventure golf!
I took a shine to Princess (Zena’s daughter) at Thomas Land.
I had my first camping holiday (soggy but fun).
I have been battling Mummy with potty training. I just don’t like it. Apparently it is now a power struggle between us. I wonder who will win!?
I blew my first bubbles by myself.
I saw my first crab close up.
And bro and sisters?
Luke has had a chilled summer – mostly watching The Vampire Diaries and Supernatural on Netflix. Biggest event of all is that he became a teenager in July!
Lea had her first lot of GCSE results and did really well – we are all so very proud of her. She also had her first job, and enjoyed spending her money treating herself. She had a couple of parties on the beach and sleepovers at friends.
MeeMee visited Brighton with L and spent quite a bit of time with us which was lovely. She was 19 in July, but was away – the first time she hasn’t been home for her birthday. We did have a family meal when she came home.
We have had lots of good times together, enjoying not rushing for school, just having fun building memories.
What about the blog?
We have had so much great stuff to review, including a Karcher pressure washer, a new Britax car seat for me, toiletries, books, a jigsaw, Lego, and lots more – but the best news ever is that we have been invited to our favourite holiday place Menorca to stay in an all inclusive hotel! We go in three weeks!
We are growing and growing in followers, subscribers and likers! Our blog was 18 months old on 1 August. Thank you everyone for being interested in my Ickle Life 😉
