Planning A Family Holiday to Cornwall

There are so many beautiful places in the UK, and Mummy has been to lots of them. The Cotswolds, The Lake District, and of course, we are very lucky to live in the only Coastal National Park in the country – Pembrokeshire.

One place that we have never visited though is Cornwall.

We have stayed in holiday parks, cottages, caravans and loved them all.

What we would love to do next year is stay at this Cornwall holiday park for families.

Pembrokeshire and Cornwall are said to be very similar – apart from both being on the South West coast of Wales and England, they share similar weather, beaches and villages. We would love to see for ourselves.

When planning a family holiday to Cornwall, we want somewhere that will offer something for all of us – me, a toddler, my big sis and bro who are teens, and of course Mummy!

Why here?

Tencreek Holiday Park is the closest holiday park and campsite to Looe – which looks such a beautiful place. We like being able to walk into a village or town.

The park is open all year round, meaning that we can go whenever we want to.

Every caravan has a sea view. and can sleep up to 6 or 8 people.

There is an indoor heated swimming pool, a must if the weather will be anything like this summer.

Membership to the Castaways Entertainment is included, and children are welcome too.

The fantastic looking Deano’s Kids Club which has activities every day, including games, arts and crafts and a special area for under 3’s too.

Local things to do

Walk into Looe or Polperro.

Miles of beaches.

Family fishing trips from Looe, exploring the local waters.

Visit The Monkey Sanctuary in Looe with around 40 different monkeys living there.

Looe hosts several festivals during the year as well as Carnival Wee and full New Years Eve celebrations with fancy dress, dancing in the streets and midnight fireworks.

Have you ever been to Cornwall?

  1. Yep. We went to Looe and Polperro when I was about 15 years old. Loved the fishing port buy my fave thing about it was the little wonky/crooked village of Polperro – so quaint! I would love to go back there.

  26. Cornwall is beautiful, I’m sure you’ll have a brilliant time when you do get to visit! I live and come from Reading in the South East, lived here all my life, the same with my mum! Three years ago, my mum, little sister and step dad left Reading to live in Bude, I hated it at first because she wasn’t just a few minutes at the road, instead four hours away! Now I see it as a free holiday in a beautiful part of the country! xx
