Mummy says…
‘It is with a very sad, heavy heart that I have to tell you that we have had to let Bella go.
She was our six month old pup, who we had since she was 7 weeks old.
Basically, our home, and my work situation has changed, and we cannot give her the time or company that she needs – and deserves.
I have found a wonderful new home for her – a friend of a friend – who lost their dog after 17 years last December.
They have a big house, big garden, next to fields, and they have more than enough room in every way for Bella.
She met the family last weekend, and they fell in love with her – which isn’t difficult – she is a lovely little dog.
I thought, stupidly, looking back, that a little dog meant less work than a big dog. WRONG!
A dog – a pup – of any size or breed needs one heck of a lot of time, attention and commitment.
I thought we had plenty of all these to give to Bella, but, sadly we didn’t have enough.
Exam stress, hormones, tween, teen and tot and my work load increasing greatly has all caused a lot of stress which isn’t fair to any of us – or Bella.
So, when the chance of this fabulous new life for her fell in our lap, I would have been very cruel to turn it away.
She will have company 24 hours a day. She will be going to work with the ‘dad’.
She will have the run of her new home, with a fantastic enclosed garden just for her.
I am so happy that we had the time that we did with Bella. I am so sorry Bella, that we couldn’t give you what you deserve.
But I am over the moon that we have found this wonderful new life for you.
Be happy Bella, we will never, ever forget you x x

Puppies (and dogs in general!) are hard work. They require a lot of attention. I completely understand your decision. It sounds like you are doing brilliantly with juggling everything in your life at the moment. It is sad that you have had to let her go but I’m glad to hear that you have found a good home for her.

Aw this is ever so sad. It is so sad and upsetting re homing a dog that you have grown so close to. As a child my parents did it twice due to moving countries. So very sad. But it does look like you have found her a lovely new home and that is so important for you and for her. So congratulations on that I am sure she will be very happy there. She is a beautiful dog xx

Awww you poor thing – I had to leave my dog with my ex when we got divorced – for similar reasons – he could take him to work and was staying in our home with garden and fields while I was moving to a flat. We know we have made the right choice for the animal we love but it doesnt stop us feeling sad.
