As part of our Easter Holiday fun, we were invited to review The Dinosaur Park, Tenby. It is a couple of miles outside Tenby, on the B4318 to Carew.
Mummy and the others (big bro, 12 and big sisters 15 and 18) have been before, but not for quite a few years, and I have never been.
We were very excited to go and have a family day out together. And I LOVE Dinosaurs!
As you may guess, the theme of the park is Dinosaurs! They are everywhere – big models of all kinds of Dinosaurs, with information boards too. They are dotted around the main part of the park, and there is a fab Dinosaur Trail- a really lovely woodland walk, with lots and lots of Dinosaurs to find.
There are several great play areas for children of all ages, including a big barn with two big play areas inside.
There are lots of attractions too, Lea and Luke loved the Orbitor Cars, you had to put a coin in them to work. A 2P coin!! 2P! Bro and sis loved them and had a few goes on them.
MeeMee took me on the little boats which I got very excited about! These were free, and had a small queue. There was someone watching, for safety, and telling you when to come in.
The Dinosaur Trail
We had a great day out! There is something for everyone of all ages, and my biggest sis, and other sis and bro had just as much as I did. It really is somewhere you can take children of all ages.
Saying that, there were a few things that I was too little to go on, and the others were too big. Check the website for all thats available. You can have a full day, we arrived at 11am and left at 4.30 – we would have stayed until 5pm, but the only cafe in the park, which is in the entrance had closed, and the rides had started to close too. There was still plenty to do outside, but I was tired (I refused to have a nap, I was having such a good time!)
We were keen to try the new Jurassic Journey ride, but the queue was crazy, it was at least a 40 minute wait, and the ride (on a small landtrain that seated about 8 people) was 7 minutes. I had gone into meltdown and refused to queue – I was very fed up at this point! Mummy thought it just wasn’t worth it, or possible at the time. Others were not happy, and leaving the queue too.
All in all we had a fab day! I would recommend it as a fun day out for all the family.

I went to a dinosaur park when I was little but have not been since having kids myself, this one looks great, it’s a shame that there is only the one toilet block, last thing you want is having to rush the kids back.

My youngest would love this, he’s Dino mad!
April 22, 2015 at 9:54 am
We were gutted to find the dinosaur park closed when we visited Bluestone but it gives us another excuse to visit again I suppose! Looks great fun there 🙂
