We have had a week of lovely, dry, sunny weather. Today was perfect to take Bella to the beach for the first time. On Tuesday Mummy and Lea took her to the vet for her first jab (a vacsy-something) and her new puppy health check. She is fine, and healthy, and Mummy said didn’t even feel the jab.
She has to have another one in two weeks, and until then, we can’t take her out walking properly where other dogs go, in case she catches something from another dog and gets poorly. But we also want her to get used to going outside, and being on her lead.
Mummy decided to take her to our nearest beach tonight, to see what she thought. We carried her from the car to the sand, and then let her explore a little. She was shaking to start with, and was a bit frightened of the sea – the waves were quite loud!
I LOVED it! I LOVE going to the beach. This was so much fun tonight – we went later than we ever do, so it was quieter, and I didn’t want to go home. I hope you like our photos of Bella’s first each visit.

Bells is gorgeous! Is she a Jack Russell? From the look of her sandy nose she had a great time on the beach. #countrykids

We took Harry, aged 2, to the beach which I suspect was his first visit by his excitement levels. He thought the sea looked good …. and then realised it was COLD!!
I am so glad you and Bella had fun and thank you for linking up with #AnimalTales

That is one cute puppy! I am not letting my kids anywhere near these pictures.
It’s funny to think of her as being scared of the sound of the sea, but not at all surprising when you think about it.
