We had a brilliant day on Mother’s Day, we went to Folly Farm & Zoo, the best local place for families to visit. We are very lucky that we live quite near to it, as most lovely places like this are a long way away.
We asked mummy where she really wanted to go on her special day, and she said ‘Folly Farm!’ She said it was because I notice all the animals in the fields around us, and on the T.V. and she really wanted to see what I thought of the animals there. I have been there quite a few times before, but I was very little then.
I was very, very happy because my mummy and daddy came, and MeeMee, Lea and Luke as well as Nana 🙂
There were so many baby goats, and a few lambs too. They were so cute, but mummy said they were not as cute as me! Some were cuddling each other, some were running around. They were a bit smelly too!
A really exciting part of Folly Farm is Penguin Coast, which was new last year. The penguins are very funny, and made me laugh. You can see them under the water too, but mummy couldn’t get a photo there this time. The penguins are nesting, which mummy says means there will hopefully be baby penguins soon.
Other exciting animals are the giraffes, I call them raffs! They are sooooo tall! I enjoyed seeing them very much. Daddy put me on his shoulders, and I felt as tall as the giraffes!
I met lots of little animals too, and here a lady had a guinea pig on her knee. I am a bit too little yet to hold one, but I liked looking at him. He didn’t look much like a pig though! Daddy bought me new Baaa (lamb) who is so cuddly, and a new George Pig. I love George, and I love sheep too. I was very happy 🙂
Here is my lovely Nana, and brother and sisters, I love them very much. I love being with everyone, and I loved going to Folly Farm. I went on the big wheel, goodness it is so high! Nana held George very tightly! I liked looking around at everything below us.
Mummy had a really lovely day, and I did too. Everyone did, and I saw so many animals. I can’t wait to go again in the summer, when guess what? There will be lions there too, wow!
