Exploring Bristol with Travelodge

Pickle says… We love Bristol, and as my biggest sister MiMi lives there, we visit quite a lot. We had a fantastic time last October half term exploring Bristol with Travelodge. What did we think of this one?

Exploring Bristol with Travelodge

We were invited to stay at the Mitchell Lane Travelodge hotel for two nights. We have stayed in quite a few Travelodges in the UK, we like the value for money, locations and what you get. This is probably one of the best we have stayed in, and here’s why:

Food

Breakfast was really good. All the food was hot. There were a choice of coffees, hot chocolate, mocha and juices.

Hot food included: Veggie sausages, sausages, scrambled eggs, Heinz baked beans, bacon hash browns, toast and croissants.

The evening Pizza deal at £13.25 was brilliant value. It was a Goodfellas large pizza and two sides (We chose cheesy chips). Our only complaint was that on the second night there were no cheese or pepperoni pizzas left. Clearly they are very popular!

Room

The room was warm room and cosy with really comfy beds. We had a family room with a large double bed and two single ones. It was a good size room with a decent bathroom having both bath and shower. There were no draws and limited storage, but for a base hotel it was ok.

Location

The Mitchell Lane Travelodge is in a brilliant location with dedicated secure parking. There is a small charge for parking. Access to this Travelodge is via a lift as it is situated on the first floor and above. It felt very safe with key card access required to the room floors.

It is a 15 minute walk to Cabot circus shopping centre and also a 15 minute walk to the Harbourside area with lots of lovely restaurants and Bristol Aquarium. It was perfect for leaving the car here to explore Bristol.

We definitely recommend this Travelodge and would definitely stay here again when we visit Bristol.

Have you stayed with Travelodge?

We were invited to stay with Travelodge in exchange for our honest review.

  7. We’ve stayed in the Travelodge at Cribbs Causeway before as a stop off between Cornwall and Essex, I was worried it might be a bit noisy for the kids but it was really quiet and the beds were great.
