Stansted Airport with Holiday Extras

Stansted Airport with Holiday Extras

Mummy says… You probably know that I went on a wonderful trip to Puglia, Italy with my eldest daughter MiMi a couple of weeks ago. We flew from Stansted Airport (our first time) with help from Holiday Extras….

Stansted Airport with Holiday Extras

We used the Mid Stay Car Park at the airport, catching the shuttle bus to the terminal. We left the car there for 5 days, staying on our return at The Raddison Blu Hotel at the airport.

The car park was easy to find, we entered via secure barriers and parked the car ourselves. There were plenty of spaces, and clearly marked zones with covered bus stops to catch the shuttle.

Our Tips

Allow a good half an hour from parking your car to arriving at the terminal.

Make sure you note the Zone and Bus Stop Number you are using.

Upon your return, tell the driver which Stop you need, as ours did go past ours without stopping and we had to wait on the bus for him to go right round again!

When we landed back at Stansted, it was literally a five minute walk out of the terminal to the hotel. Although it was 17 March, it had been snowing and was very cold and icy.

The hotel was stunning. Our flight was delayed due to the freezing weather and snow, so we didn’t get to the hotel until 1am, we headed straight to bed.

The room was fabulous and the bed was simply HUGE and super, super comfy!

We fell asleep straight away and had the best nights sleep.

We had to head off early the following morning as we had a long journey back to West Wales via Bristol, so we skipped breakfast.

I highly recommend the Radisson Blu for a stay over if you are flying from Stansted Airport, and Holiday Extras for booking your airport parking and hotels.

We were guests of Holiday Extras in exchange for my honest review.

  2. We stayed at a Radisson years ago near Heathrow/Gatwick (can’t remember which) and loved it. And yes definitely allow extra time for the shuttle!

  4. It must have been lovely to have a good night sleep before jetting off home again, delays are not the nicest things in the world to experience.
