Pickle says…. On a recent visit to Disneyland Paris we were invited to stay at The Holiday Inn Paris – Marne la Vallée. We spent two nights at the hotel, what did we think of it?
The hotel is conveniently situated just off the motorway A4, and is a short, easy drive from DLP with its own underground car park. It is a 25 minute drive to Charles de Gaulle and Paris Orly airports.
The Eiffel Tower, the Louvre Museum and the Champs-Elysées, are all easily accessible by public transport. Next door is the Les Arcades shopping centre, with 150 shops. For movie fans, the Palacio d’Abraxas (a location in the Hunger Games movies) is a short walk away.
The hotel is a stylish super hotel and our room which slept four in two huuuuuuge beds was just awesome.
It had floor to ceiling windows over looking a pleasant lake, a superb en suite with a separate loo, a mini fridge, desk, and seating area.
The beds were soooo comfy. Now I’ve stayed in quite a few hotels now and the one thing I love is a good comfy bed. These beds were super comfy. I didn’t want to get up, and told Mummy this was the most favourite hotel I have stayed in.
I loved how big our room was, so much room for us all, and I loved the big windows.
Breakfast was in a really cool dining room and we were surprised and very pleased to see it had hot options of bacon, sausages, mushrooms, and a fab egg boiler for us to boil own own fresh eggs just how we wanted them!
Coffee, juices and hot chocolate were all included as well as pastries, fruit, meats, cereal, and toast.
We were deliciously full to go and explore Disneyland for the day!
Although we drove, we believe there is a train station opposite the hotel which is only a couple of stops from the centre of DLP. You can of course also explore Paris and other attractions from here too.
We found this a quality hotel for the base for our Disney adventure and it was pretty much perfect.
The scrambled eggs were apparently powdered. What a shame!
The car park is a little snug to get in and out of to say the least! We did have a VW Touran people carrier which was ok, but Mummy was panicking a bit!
Great location and room.
Good security, you need your room card to access the bedroom areas.
The mini fridge was a real blessing as we actually had very hot weather!
We highly recommend this Holiday Inn. They have some great deals for families including children ages 12 and under staying for free when sharing their parents’ room. Up to four children ages 12 and under eat free any time of the day in the on-site restaurant.
There is also free Wifi throughout the hotel – in all rooms and public places. This kept teen sis and bro very happy!
You can find out more, including the latest rates and special offers on the hotel website.
Thank you so much to the Holiday Inn Paris, Marne la Vallée for inviting us to stay.
