Mummy was very excited to be invited by Tesco to make up a Christmas Eve box for us. Mummy has made one for the last two years so had a rough idea what to put in it, but thought she would ask us all too.
Mummy decided on a budget of £50 which is a wonderful amount for a Christmas Eve box, but there are four of us!
Mummy asked each of us what we would like to see in our perfect Christmas Eve box.
Teen bro and sis (who are 14 and 17) and eldest sis who is 20 all agreed on the following:
- Christmas socks or slippers.
- Special chocolates such as Lindor or Ferrero Rocher. Toblerone and Terry’s Chocolate Orange were agreed too.
- A Christmas DVD.
- Christmas mugs.
- Cadbury’s hot chocolate.
- Cream, marshmallows – and the girls requested cinnamon too.
I am four and I asked for chocolate and a Christmas game.
Other suggestions, were Christmas Pyjamas, a Christmas CD and a Christmas candle.
Armed with her £50, Mummy escaped on Saturday morning to buy everything for our Christmas Eve Box. She had a lot of fun finding and choosing everything, and keeping within budget. She also saw some awesome festive slippers for herself which she needed and just had to buy – well Mummy does deserve a treat too, doesn’t she?
So, without Mummy’s slippers, the total she spent was around £48. With her slippers it as £52.
Mummy already had a wicker hamper which she filled with:
Tesco Christmas Mugs £1.50ea
Penguin Racing Game crackers £6
Marvel Slippers £5
Christmas Cat Christmas Slippers £5
Reindeer and red fluffy socks £5 for two pairs
National Lampoons Christmas DVD £3
Proper Popcorn £1
Lindor – £1 for a small box
Terry’s Chocolate Orange £1
Cream, mini marshmallows, chocolate sprinkles and cinnamon
Galaxy White Hot Chocolate
Cadbury’s Hot Chocolate
