The other weekend we visited The Waterfront Beefeater, Swansea to celebrate Lea’s 17th Birthday. We wanted somewhere a little bit special to go, and we found it!
We have visited before and had a really delicious meal, so we were very excited to be going again – and looking forward to our meal.
We all decided on the Festive Menu which was 2 Courses for £13.99 and 3 Courses for £17.49 . We had two courses – main and desert. Luke fancied the fillet steak which was an extra £4. This came with a mushroom sauce, crispy onions, bacon, chips and lettuce. Lea had the Turkey Dinner with all the trimmings, Mummy had the Red Pepper and Butternut Squash Tart, with roast potatoes, sprouts, mashed root vegetables, Yorkshire pudding and vegetarian gravy. I had cod bites, chips and peas.
The restaurant was quiet at 12.30 when we arrived, but soon filled up. We had managed to book a table the day before – we rang, but you can also book online. The restaurant was very festive and welcoming.
Our waitress was really friendly and kept an eye on us. Soft drinks on draught have free refills – and the waitress noticed when our glasses ran low, bringing us refills automatically. We noticed that the menu also offered Coca Cola in bottles – these were not refillable, but the Pepsi on draught is, which was fine with us.
The food was absolutely delicious. Perfectly cooked, hot and tasty. The portions were generous – my Children’s Meal was huge! I had a warm chocolate pizza slice with vanilla ice cream for desert, and the others had chocolate brownie with mince pie ice cream (Lea and Luke had vanilla instead), chocolate and caramel sauce. Covered in tiny gold stars. YUM!
Mummy had to finish off the meal with a coffee – and was very pleased that Costa coffee is served.
We highly recommend The Waterfront Beefeater, it is about a ten minute walk from the city centre and has plenty of parking. We imagine on a lovely sunny day it would be lovely to sit outside over looking the water, but both times we visited was in pouring rain!
It is a lovely restaurant for a special meal, a get together for a drink, or just as a treat. It was perfect for celebrating Lea’s birthday.
You can view the full menu on the website as well as book a table. Beefeater also runs a reward scheme.
We were invited to The Waterfront Beefeater Swansea and given a voucher towards our food in exchange for an honest review.
