Why I Want to Visit Gran Canaria

You probably know that I have just returned from my first family holiday to France. I love travelling, my first holiday was when I was just 9 weeks old, and I have already been abroad three times, as well as travelling all over the UK.

Why I want to visit Gran Canaria

So, although I am little, I think I am quite well travelled. I know what I want from a holiday, and where I want to go. Next on my Holiday Hitlist is Gran Canaria. I have been to Menorca twice, but never any other parts of Spain. I am very excited to be entering a competition held by ClickStay to win a holiday there. I have had a long look at their website, and found us the perfect villa. It would be so easy to choose one in Menorca – we all love it there, but Mummy briefly visited Gran Canaria  on a cruise for her 40th birthday and has always wanted to go back. As she is on her own with us, and does so much for us, I knew that this is where I wanted to choose a villa.

This would be an absolutely awesome holiday for us – MeeMee (biggest sis) is 21 next year, big sis Lea is 18 next year and my Grandad is 70! I would LOVE to surprise my wonderful family with a holiday like this.

I have also chosen Gran Canaria because there is sunshine virtually guaranteed – and after a week of wall to wall rain in France, with some of the worst weather the country has ever seen, we deserve a little sunshine! It is also only a four hour flight from the UK.

OK, firstly the villa HAS to have:

A private pool, so we can have as much fun in the water as we like – at any time of the day.

WiFi – Mummy can relax knowing she can work whilst we are away.

Sleep at least 7 – I would love to have MeeMee and my Nan and Grandad come with us too – so many holidays are for four people, this would be a perfect chance to have them come with us – MeeMee wasn’t able to come with us to France either.

At least two bathrooms – with two teen sisters there is no way we can get by with just one bathroom!

An extra bonus that would be amazing is a covered area to sit outside – my sister Lea is a beautiful Welsh rose and has lovely pale skin and blonde hair. She burns terribly and a covered seating area would be great for her – and me too as I am so young, to keep me out of the sunlight some of the time.

Air Conditioning would be a fantastic extra too to keep us all cool.

Now, I know you are thinking ‘What?? There can’t be such a villa’ …. but there is!

The Villa Blanca in Anfi Tauro has all this – and more. It looks absolutely stunning.

So, we have found our villa, what would we all do? Obviously enjoy time together in the sunshine with BBQ’s (there is one in the villa!) swimming and relaxing.

We would love to eat out for a special meal or two to celebrate the birthdays – there are a few restaurants nearby.

Grandad and big bro could play some golf – there is a golf course very close to the villa.

And whilst they are enjoying a game of golf, Mummy and the rest of us can go shopping in nearby Puerto Rico.

So, I know you are thinking that this all sounds very lovely – but what about me? After all, I have gone to all this trouble to find the perfect villa in the perfect place! Well, don’t worry – there is the brilliant Angry Birds Activity Park in Puerto Rico! I LOVE Angry Birds and we would definitely visit here. And of course there are beaches nearby too.

My grandparents have helped us so much over the last few years – as Mummy is on her own, they always come to our rescue in every way and we could never repay them. So, how fantastic would it be to take them on an amazing holiday they would remember forever. We never have the chance to all go on holiday together – and what better time than to celebrate all these big birthdays!

This is my entry to #BlogYourWayToSpain holiday competition with Clickstay.
