We had a lovely day yesterday for Mother’s Day, spoiling Mummy who looks after us on her own every day. We want to tell you about Mummy’s wonderful day.
I woke at 8am – Mummy woke a few minutes before me, so she had a nice lie in. On a weekday her alarm goes off at 6am! First thing in the morning we gave Mummy her cards and presents – some chocolates and a wooden frame saying ‘Home is where the heart is’ (Mummy loves things like that!) I gave her a beautiful flower that I made in school, and a lovely card with my hands on to give her a big hug. I wrote my name for the first time too (and on the tag with the flower). And I drew a beautiful picture of Mummy.
Luke and Lea made Mummy a cheese toastie and coffee for breakfast, whilst she relaxed in bed.
We had a lovely morning at home watching Cheaper by the Dozen 2 one of our favourite family films. ( We have watched the first one all week!) Lea and Luke put the washing on and washed up, and played with me so Mummy could work on our blog too.
We got ready and went to Neyland Marina for 1pm for lunch. We do like it there. Mummy rang up and got us a table as it gets very busy.
After popping into Tesco, we went home again and all settled down to watch The Good Dinosaur – which was a bit sad, but a bit funny too. (Mummy worked some more – good job she loves her job!)
Lea and Luke sorted the pizza and garlic bread for tea, and after I went to bed, they watched TV.
We all loved Mummy’s wonderful day!
Mummy asked my big sister, Lea, who is sixteen to tell her what she thinks of Mother’s Day.
‘It is a very stressful time as teens have no money, but we know you see it as a time to spend with us rather than a time to be showered with gifts. Although you deserve it. If we could, we would give you the world.
We enjoy making you happy and Mother’s Day is a great time for that. To us, it means a lot, it’s special as we feel it is an opportunity to reward you for being such an amazing Mother.
It’s also nice to make things for you because it’s enjoyable for us, we all bond a bit more through the teamwork and it feels more personal and special when we give it to you.’
Mummy was so chuffed – what lovely things to say!
We hope all you Mummy’s had a wonderful day too.
