Planning a party?

It is so much fun organising a party, and there are some important birthdays coming up in my family.

My big bro is 13 in the summer – 13! A teenager at last, Mummy can’t believe it.

He has no idea what he wants to do to celebrate his birthday yet, Mummy would like to hold a party for him.

Big sis is 16 at the end of the year. She would love a big party with her friends.

When I had my 2nd Birthday party, close friends kindly let us use a converted barn which they own, it was so lovely to have the extra space for everyone to meet up, and Mummy didn’t have to worry about our house being too small, or clearing away all our stuff to make room, or not having enough chairs.

If you have family all over the country (as we do) or even the world, it can be tricky to find somewhere big enough, or in the right town for everyone to get together.

How do you know where to look, and where will have everything that you are looking for in a venue?

Well, you can give Venuefinder a try, a great online company which lets you search for your perfect venue all over the world. It is free to register, and you can search over 15,000 places!

You can search for weddings, parties, unusual venues and there is a free app too.

Have you any special events coming up?

  4. My twins are three so we’ve had small parties at home. They start nursery in September so I imagine their 4th birthday will be somewhat different! #myfavouritepost

  6. I can totally relate with trying to find the perfect venue, my family are always struggling with christenings birthdays and weddings as we’re a large family and we’re all spread all over the country. I will be checking this website out.
Also teenagers and toddlers sounds like fun, both aspects of parenting to conquer at he same time. #MyFavouritePost x

  7. I’ll be checking out this venue as, apparently, I’m having a party for my birthday! Thank you. #myfavouritepost

  8. Ooh – a barn sounds like a great venue for a party – I always stress far too much about the house being clean and tidy for when visitors come, although I’m not sure why when it looks like a bombsite by the end of the party quite often. Venuefinder sounds great though – I’ll check it out.
