Getting Ready for Bluestone Wales

I am so excited. Next week we are off to Bluestone Wales for a little holiday! Now, you may have realised that as we live in Pembrokeshire, we are not far away from Bluestone. About ten minutes in fact! Even better! No long, boring journey to go on!

My mummy, sisters and brother have been to the swimming pool – The Blue Lagoon – many times, my big sis actually had her Year 6 leaving party there a few years ago, and she went to Bluestone a few years ago with the Brownies and had a look around the Adventure Centre as it was new then. So, they know how fab it all is already, which makes it all the more exciting!

We have heard that the lodges are absolutely gorgeous, so we are looking forward to relaxing in ours.

I have never been, and am looking forward to it very much.

I am very interested to see what it offers toddlers and babies, so thought I would investigate and share it with you before we go.

We are staying in Grassholm Lodge which has 1 double and 3 twin bedrooms, as well as 3 bathrooms! Wow!

All the holiday lodges and cottages feature top-quality linen and towels, a fully-equipped modern kitchen with dishwasher and microwave, a TV and DVD player and much more. There’s Wi-Fi in all the accommodation too, can you hear my sister and brother (and mummy!) whooping with delight?

Very important for me, every lodge also has a stair gate, a travel cot and a high chair.

Here is the floor plan of our lodge:

Doesn’t it look fab!

I am called a Mini Ranger by Bluestone, Mini Rangers are 0-3 years old. There are lots of activities for me to do, from messy play, to exploring the forest. Note to mummy, do NOT forget my Muddy Puddles trouser suit and wellies! Oh and not forgetting The Blue Lagoon Waterpark with special areas for me to play in the water. Did you know that we get unlimited free access to the waterpark? For my sis and bro there are a wave machine, flumes and a rapids river ride. Sounds like so much fun!

I think my bro and sis are going to try some fab activities in the Adventure Centre, such as The Drop – where they will be secured into a harness, raised 39ft off the ground before being dropped (safely, of course!). Gosh, my tummy feels funny just thinking about it!

The full range of things for me to do can be seen here.

So, all we have to do is pack. There is a shop on site, but we will take most of our groceries with us. Look out for my posts on what it is like actually staying at Bluestone Wales.
