My First Bonfire Night

Wednesday found me going to my first Bonfire Night, held in a tiny village nearby, with full fireworks show too.

The bonfire was so great, it was a copy of The Houses of Parliament, with Big Ben on the right, and Guy in an armchair on the left. Guy was set alight first. It was the biggest bonfire in Pembrokeshire!

During my first firework show, I cuddled Mummy very, very tightly, and closed my eyes!

Do you know, 6,000 people came to see the show!

There are only about 750 people who live in the village!!

  1. Wow that’s a lot of people! We don’t have bonfire nights in here and if there’s one it’ll probably be not as successful as this one as its just raining in here non stop! #countrykids

  2. Wow that’s a lot of people in your small village. How ace that the bonfire was actually a scene and not just a pile of logs. My S cuddled tightly into me too. It must be the big bangs! #countrykids

  3. that is one big bonfire. I love that they made thier bonfire into something. we do the same. We have done big Ben before and have a new and and exciting one for our big bonfire party tomorrow. I hope it stays dry enough to get a great fire going like yours. the fireworks get more fun and less scary each year but useful to have Mummy to cuddle this year. Thank you for sharing with me on Country Kids

  8. Hello Ickle Pickle and thanks for linking up to #SundaysStars. That looks like an amazing firework display. I love the idea of a bonfire replica of the Houses of Parliament (including Big Ben). Although, I think I would have been quite sad to see that burn down. Those photos of you holding on to your mummy with your eyes shut are very cute. Hugs Mrs H xxxx

  9. We also went to the fireworks show, ours was on Sunday. 😀
Was a really big hit for the kids, though my 4yo is a little sensitive so by the end she had had enough, but the 10yo and the 2yo LOVED it. 😀

Beautiful pictures and he looks really excited! 😀
