We have had such a busy summer that I haven’t had chance to write about you turning 22 months old! Which you did on 12 August.
In some ways, it seems as though you have been here for ever. We all struggle to remember life before you arrived. You fill every part of us with your happiness, love and energy.
In other ways, time is flying by so fast, I cannot believe you are 22 months old – heading fast towards two!
We have a wonderful summer. But we have also had sadness. My relationship with your daddy ended as we began our holiday in June. I am not going to go into details here, but I am now on my own looking after you all.
Saying that, we have had a great summer, we have had so many lovely days out, our flying visit road trip to Peppa Pig World, trips to Folly Farm to see the new lions, your Great Nana came to stay, and we have swapped bedrooms at home so that you can move in with Luke , in your first super cute toddler bed!
Your speech and words continue to amaze us all. You actually say little sentences, such as ‘Daddy Pigs keys…down drain.’
You have a wicked sense of humour and know when you are being funny.
Your concentration levels are growing, and you will now watch two thirds of a film, engrossed in what is happening.
You now eat a full weetabix for breakfast!
You answered ‘don’t know’ when I asked you where your wipes were!
You say ‘fine mumma’ if I ask you if you are ok!
You love Monsters University, Toy Story 3, and, of course, Peppa Pig.
Oh and Spoongebob and Frozen.
You carry Daddy Pig, and Luke’s Infinity Mikey everywhere!
You love ‘Sing’ by Pharell Williams and Ed Sheeran!
‘Big Balloon’ by Peppa Pig
‘Let it Go’ and ‘Do you wanna build a snowman’ from Frozen.
You continue to bring us such joy and happiness. I thank my lucky stars every day for you. Watching you grow, learning about the world around you, noticing everything, missing nothing, is a delight.
I have had the great blessing of spending almost every moment of the summer with you, and have loved every minute. Waking up to lots of cuddles, no school run rush, just being with you.
Your new room with your brother is almost ready, and your little toddler bed waits for you.
I don’t want to let you go though. You are still in your cot in my room, and I love you being there. Listening to you breathing, giggling in your sleep as you dream, and sometimes, your little snores (even your little cute trumps!)
But of course I will let you go. I have to let you go. You are growing up, but still so little. I will always be here for you.
I love you, more and more each day
